PVC & Vinyl Label Material
Flexible vinyl film with high tear strength and outdoor durability for warning, safety and equipment labels.
What is PVC / vinyl label material?
PVC (vinyl) label film is a plasticised polymer film that combines flexibility with high tear strength and good UV stability. It conforms around curves, corners and rivets without lifting, and printed vinyl labels typically survive two to five years of outdoor exposure — considerably longer than BOPP.
Vinyl is the traditional material for safety and warning labels, equipment decals and outdoor identification. It is available in white, clear and coloured, gloss and matte, and takes screen, UV flexo and thermal transfer printing.

Frequently asked questions
- Vinyl or PET for outdoor labels?
- Vinyl if the surface is curved or textured and flexibility matters. PET if the label must resist solvents and high heat on a flat, rigid surface.
- Does vinyl need an overlaminate outdoors?
- A clear overlaminate roughly doubles the practical outdoor life by protecting the ink from UV and abrasion. We can supply matched laminating film.
- Is PVC available in a plasticiser-free version?
- For PVC-free requirements we recommend PET or PP synthetic paper, which meet most restricted-substance policies.
