FSC-certified label paper is a conventional label facestock — semi-gloss, matte or kraft — supplied with Forest Stewardship Council chain-of-custody documentation covering the fibre source. Printing behaviour and converting are the same as the equivalent uncertified paper; what changes is that the sourcing claim can be documented through the supply chain.

Brands use it for food, beverage, cosmetics and retail labels where sustainability commitments must be evidenced, and converters use it when their customers' packaging specifications require certified fibre.

Confirm which finish suits the design, check that your own chain-of-custody status allows the on-pack claim, and choose adhesive and liner exactly as you would for standard paper — permanent, removable or freezer, matched to surface and temperature. Paper remains moisture-sensitive, so for wet or chilled packs review the construction and confirm with sample testing.
