PP Synthetic Paper Label Material

Matte, writable, tear-proof polypropylene that looks like paper and behaves like film.

What is PP synthetic paper?

PP synthetic paper is a cavitated polypropylene film with a matte, paper-like surface. It writes with pen and pencil, prints on most processes, and yet cannot be torn by hand and is completely waterproof. Thicknesses of 80–120 µm give it the stiffness and hand-feel of a coated paper or light board.

It is used where a label or tag must look and feel like paper but survive water, oil, tearing and repeated handling — nursery and plant tags, laboratory labels, outdoor manuals, luggage tags and durable product labels.

Frequently asked questions

Is PP synthetic paper the same as stone paper?
No. Stone paper is calcium-carbonate filled HDPE; PP synthetic paper is cavitated polypropylene. Both are tear-proof, but PP synthetic prints and die-cuts more predictably.
Can I write on it with a normal pen?
Yes — the matte topcoat accepts ballpoint, pencil and permanent marker. Water-based fibre pens may smudge until dry.
How does it perform on rough surfaces?
Well. Pair it with a high-tack hotmelt adhesive for recycled board, powder-coated metal or textured plastics.
