PP Synthetic Paper Label Material

PP synthetic paper is a polypropylene-based facestock, typically 80–120 µm, with the matte, writable look of paper but the waterproof, tear-proof behaviour of film. It can be written on with pen or laser-printed while resisting water, oils and repeated folding, so labels and tags survive handling that would soften or shred ordinary paper.

Buyers use it for horticultural and nursery tags, outdoor equipment labels, manuals and instruction sheets, drum and pail labels, and any label that is handled or wetted many times.

Decide caliper by whether the item is a hanging tag or an applied label, then match the adhesive to the surface — rough plastics and coated drums often need high-tack. Check printing compatibility with your ink or toner, and note that unlike PET, PP softens at lower heat. Outdoor life and writability depend on conditions — confirm with sample testing.
