Silver Metallized BOPP Label Material
Metallized BOPP that combines a mirror-metal finish with full waterproof film performance.
What is silver metallized BOPP?
Silver metallized BOPP is a polypropylene film with a vacuum-deposited aluminium layer, then topcoated for printing. It delivers the same metallic shelf appeal as metallized paper, but on a waterproof, tear-resistant film that survives ice buckets, condensation and wash-down.
Because the metal layer sits under the print surface, unprinted areas show as bright or brushed silver, and a yellow tint layer produces gold. It is the standard construction for premium beer, spirits and cosmetics labels that must look metallic and stay intact when wet.

Frequently asked questions
- Metallized BOPP or metallized paper?
- Choose film when the label meets water, ice or condensation, or when the container is squeezed. Choose paper for dry retail packaging where cost matters more than moisture resistance.
- Can you supply a gold version?
- Yes — gold is produced by a tinted lacquer over the aluminium layer. Matte and brushed variants are also available.
- Does the metal layer block RFID or scanning?
- The aluminium layer is conductive and will interfere with RFID inlays; use a non-metallized facestock for smart labels. Barcodes print normally as long as contrast is sufficient.
