Silver Metallized BOPP Label Material

Silver metallized BOPP label material is a top-coated polypropylene film, typically 50–60 µm, carrying a vacuum-deposited aluminium layer that gives a bright mirror-like surface. It combines a metallic decorative effect with waterproof, tear-resistant film performance, so labels keep their shine through condensation, ice buckets and wash-down instead of dulling like metallized paper.

Brands use it for spirits, craft beer, energy drinks, cosmetics and premium household lines; converters treat it as a base for spot-colour, screen and cold-foil-style effects where a genuine metallic ground beats printed silver ink.

Consider top-coat compatibility with your ink system and UV curing, opacity over dark containers, adhesive choice for chilled or wet filling, and whether matte or gloss varnish will be applied over the metallized face.
