Clear BOPP Label Material
Transparent BOPP with crystal-clear adhesive for the no-label look on bottles, jars and cosmetic containers.
What is clear BOPP label material?
Clear BOPP is an unpigmented, transparent polypropylene film laminated to a water-clear ('crystal') acrylic adhesive. Applied to a smooth transparent container, the film and adhesive disappear visually, so only the printed ink is visible — the effect brands call the no-label look.
Achieving that look depends on three things: a low-haze film (typically < 3% haze), an adhesive with matched refractive index, and clean, bubble-free application. Printing usually needs an opaque white base layer under the colours; without it, the container contents show through the artwork.

Frequently asked questions
- Why do my clear labels look cloudy on the bottle?
- Usually trapped air or an adhesive that has not wetted out yet. Crystal-clear acrylics reach full clarity 24–48 hours after application; cloudiness after that points to surface contamination or the wrong adhesive grade.
- Do I need to print white behind the colours?
- For solid, accurate colour on a transparent or dark container, yes. Skip the white only where you deliberately want a translucent, tinted effect.
- Can clear BOPP go on squeezable bottles?
- For gentle squeezing, yes. For tubes and heavily-squeezed packs, clear PE film conforms better and will not crease.
