White BOPP Label Material

White BOPP label material is an opaque, waterproof facestock made from biaxially oriented polypropylene film, top-coated for printing and laminated to a pressure-sensitive adhesive and release liner. It replaces paper wherever labels meet moisture, oils or repeated handling, staying flat, white and legible instead of wrinkling, tearing or discolouring on the pack.

Buyers use it for cosmetics and personal-care bottles, household and industrial chemicals, chilled and wet-wiped food packs, and beverage containers. Converters like it because a single grade runs across flexo, offset, letterpress, UV inkjet, HP Indigo and thermal transfer, so one construction can cover several SKUs and print platforms.

Specify face thickness (50–80 µm), gloss or matte top-coat, adhesive (permanent acrylic, removable, freezer or high-tack) and liner (glassine, PET or CCK) against your container surface, filling temperature, moisture exposure and abrasion level. Squeeze bottles and low-energy surfaces may need a softer film or high-tack adhesive — confirm with sample testing.

Both are polypropylene. White BOPP is a thin (50–80 µm) gloss or matte film for bottle and container labels. PP synthetic paper is thicker (80–120 µm), matte, writable and stiffer — used where the label must feel like paper but not tear.

Yes. The film itself absorbs no water, so it does not swell, wrinkle or lose print. Full waterproof performance also depends on the adhesive: choose a water-resistant permanent acrylic for immersion, condensation or wash-down applications.

Yes, with a freezer-grade adhesive. The film stays flexible down to about -40 °C; the adhesive sets the real limit, so tell us whether the label is applied before or after freezing and at what surface temperature.

The top-coated surface prints flexo, offset, letterpress, screen, UV inkjet, HP Indigo and thermal transfer. For thermal transfer, use the TT-coated grade with a resin ribbon — wax ribbons do not anchor to film and will smear.

Polypropylene is recyclable, and BOPP separates by flotation in PET bottle wash processes. However, standard adhesive residue can contaminate the recovered flake, so for bottle-to-bottle recycling specify our wash-off adhesive or a recycling-compatible construction.

Store white BOPP jumbo and finished rolls flat or on end, away from direct sunlight, in a dry area at moderate room temperature and humidity.
