Matte & Woodfree Label Paper

Matte woodfree label paper is an uncoated paper facestock, usually 70–80 gsm, with a natural, non-reflective surface that accepts pen, pencil and stamp as readily as press ink. Its flat, glare-free look reads as understated and honest, and it is easy to write on, which coated and film labels do not allow without a special topcoat.

It is used for shipping and address labels, laboratory and sample identification, file and inventory marking, and minimalist natural-brand packaging where a matte, tactile finish is part of the design.

Choose adhesive by surface and removal need — permanent for cartons, removable for glassware and returnable containers — and liner by applicator speed. Uncoated paper absorbs ink, so allow for dot gain, and remember it marks and stains easily; for damp storage, oils or abrasion use a coated or film grade and confirm with sample testing.

Matte woodfree paper is supplied on white glassine, PET or CCK/kraft liner, matrix-stripped and die-cut to your label shape, on 25 mm (1 in) or 76 mm (3 in) cores. PET liner suits high-speed dispensing; glassine is the economical standard for most applicators.
