Why Pressure-Sensitive Labels Peel Off: Causes and Troubleshooting

Pressure-sensitive labels usually peel because the adhesive cannot wet out the surface under the actual application conditions. Low surface energy, dust, oil, condensation, low application temperature, insufficient wipe-down pressure, tight container curvature, or a facestock that is too stiff can all start edge lift. Diagnose when and where the failure begins before changing to a stronger adhesive.
